The official opening of the 6th edition of the VDEWS will take place at 3pm.

In so far as possible, transfers between Milan-Malpensa airport and Villa d’Este will be carried out by our partner MASERATI.

Arrival of participants, registration and check-in : You will receive the full symposium program and a USB key containing further information. Plus tickets for any Prestige Tasting(s) booked in advance.

Glass of Champagne.

5pm – 5.30pm : welcome speech in the Impero room, glass of Champagne Roederer in hand.

5.30pm – 8pm : open tasting session in the Impero room. Here participants will be able to taste numerous wines offered by the attending producers.

5.40pm – 7pm : first Prestige Tasting limited to 50 seats and by advance booking. Theme is « Botrytis Forum ». Presentation by Akos Forczek.

8.45pm : opening dinner. Feel free to bring along a bottle of one of your favorite wines that you would like to share with the guests seated at your table !

10.00pm : Exceptionnal watches in exhibition (salon Pino) from our Partner Pisa Orologeria (Milano).

11.30pm : and so to bed !

7am – 9am : breakfast in your room or in the Veranda room.

9am – 10.15am : seminars 1&2 – part 1 « How to succesfully acquire a wine estate ». A « table ronde » with Patricia Perrin, Nicolas Lunel, Alexandre Kurgansky, Alexandra de Vazeilles, Orazio Vagnozzi.

10.15am – 10.40am : coffee break (Lavazza).

10.40am – 11.50am : seminars 1&2 – part 2 « How to succesfully acquire a wine estate » Discussion with the audience.

12 noon – 1pm : open wine tasting, with wines from the attending producers. Impero room.

1.15pm – 2.30pm : lunch in the Veranda room

3pm – 4pm : seminar 3 : « Re-uniting North and South Europe » by Christian Saint-Etienne.

4.30pm – 5pm : coffee break (Lavazza).

5pm – 5.45pm : seminar 4 : « Evolution of the wine consumption in top restaurants » by Antonio Santini (3-star restaurant Dal Pescatore)

6pm – 7:15pm : Prestige Tasting : a comparative vertical tasting of Château La Mission Haut-Brion and Château Haut-Brion, presented by Prince Robert de Luxembourg and Jean-Philippe Delmas. Veranda room.

Or open tasting of wines provided by attending producers. Impero room.

7.30pm – 8.30pm : « Grand Prix du Vin » Display of the lots (3 magnums per lot) in the Impero Room. Auction to be held during Saturday dinner.

9pm : Austrian dinner in the Veranda room, wines courtesy of our sponsors : Pichler- Krutzler / Clemens Strobl / F.X. Pichler / Tement / Leo Hillinger / Kracher.

11.30pm : and so to bed again !

The dinner of Friday the 7th of November will be an opportunity to taste and enjoy some fantastic Austrian wines, in presence of the producers and in partnership with the Austrian Wine Marketing Board directed by Willi Klinger.

3:15pm – 4pm : « Using multimedia and technology to map the world’s great vineyards » with Antonio Galloni, Founder, Vinous.

4pm – 5:15pm : seminar 6: « About the influence of gamma rays on the behavior of daisies » by Nicolas Dautricourt, Stéphane Derenoncourt, René Millet. (Classical music, Wine, Painting).

5.30pm – 7pm : third Prestige Tasting, limited to 50 seats for those who have booked in advance. Veranda room. Romanée-Conti & Montrachet : présentation by Mr Aubert de Villaine.
